August 10, 2008

Dinner at Wendy's is always fun with the Family and lots of friends. Jenny did an awesome job on Kiah's Birthday cake. I love everthing that my sisters do. They are artists in their own way and it is so much fun and enjoyable to see what each sister comes up with. After dinner Wendy took us all to her class room. I think I am more excited for Wendy to start being a teacher than she is. She had tons of stuff laminated that we had fun cutting out and getting her all ready for Monday. I miss going to school but am having fun learning new things everyday at work and at home. It was fun taking a walk down memory lane with my sisters.

Working on an idea and having fun

I am having so much fun. Mom called me the other night and had me look up somethings on ebay and of course I was more than happy to. She told me that I need to start crocheting my miniatures and start selling them. The last crochet miniature that sold on ebay was $50.00 shipping included. SO I am going to use the money that I get from selling my miniatures to get us out of debt. Here is a start, neither of the bears are finished but getting closer to it. I love the white fuzzy Christmas bear.

WE HAVE BEEN BUSY!!!!!!

So much has happened, sorry I am not keeping up on my blogging for you all. I love you tons but I did get some pictures of what we have been up to lately. Jason is making my present and his for our anniversary. He is enclosing our porch so that we have more room for storage, laundry room, pantry, and his music room. What a sweetheart he is. So everything is a mess but it is going to all be worth the space. YEAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! We had to move everthing that was on the porch to a different room in the house. So now the house is a mess too... that's okay though. I have wanted this for a longgggggggg time.

Doing Something About it!

This past week I have been doing weight watchers with my sister Jenny and trying to increase my exercise daily. Today I did an hour of my favorite workout video called CALLANETICS. I absolutely love this video. I think I am going to start doing this every day when I come home from work. I just made me feel so much better to get all of the stress and tention out of my muscles. I am finally learning the importance of exercising and taking time for myself. I feel GREAT!!!!! and I love it!

Moving July 29, 2008

Lastnight at work our department had to move to a different area of the building so I was going through some of my stuff to make the move easier and I found this. I absolutely love this picture of Jason and me. I sure is fun being married to your best friend. This is another one of my favorite pictures that MOM took. The boganvilla behind us was totally colorful. That is one thing I miss about the Lehi house was mom taking pictures of us kids in front of the boganvilla. Fun memories. Yesterday my team gave me a beautiful plant with flowers on it and a card telling me how sorry they were for my families loss. It was so nice of them. I really have a good team at work and the best boss in the whole building. She's great!!!

I like my new desk. I was able to work really hard today and it is alway fun when I enter in all the stuff that I have done, at the end of the day on my productivity spreadsheet, and see what kind of a percentage I got. Today it was over 107% which make me and my boss happy!!!!! I can definitely see Heavely Father's hand in my life by the hour. I am truely blessed.....

VERY HARD DAY- little Kanon passed away tonight at 7:00 pm. I am so happy for him that he isn't in anymore pain and that he is with his brother Kohen. I am going to miss him so much but I know that I will see him again and that gives me so much hope. He definitely endured through so much. What a fighter he was. I love him and will always remember the things that he taught me.

Mom's and My Idea!!!!

This was an experiment that I tried. I know now what I am going to do differently next time. Mom had an idea when I told her what I was working on she said that I should make a Temple Envelope for the inside. I liked it but I think I am going to make it more compact for the next one. I gave this to Nanners for her b-lated birthday present so that she could use it before she went through the Temple. Let me know what you think!!!

Our trip to PAYSON for the 4th of July

For the 4th we went up to Payson to visit Jason's parents and get to spend time with them. It poured all day and night. We left before the fireworks went off. We had to get back. Jason had paper route the next morning. We were able to see the fireworks on the way down though which was really fun. These are pictures that I took of him opening his fun presents that his family gave him for his birthday. He is so funny and cute. It is never a dull moment being married to him. His brother Matt in the top left picture looks exactly like Jason, they really could be twins. Kinda funny. Jason's brother Ben's boys were able to come up and spend some time with us. It was fun having them there.

Sunday Dinner at Sippy's

Danielle has an awsome camera! Here is Daddy Danielle and me having fun enjoying each others company at Michelle's house for Sunday Dinner when mom and dad came down to see us. Daddy looks so sharp in his dark suit, just like a true Missionary.

Sisters Night

This was at Sister's Night before Jenny left for Tucson. We went to Michelle's Enrichment Night and then wen to Gellato's afterwards and laughed til' we couldn't breathe or wet our pants, probably both. I got to ride with Heather and the cute little twins that night. Heather had just made and ate an entire loaf of whole wheat bread. You can imagine how our traveling went. It was so much fun all we were missing was Wendy, Colette, Nikki, Sheri and Mom. Maybe next time. I got the biggest stomach workout that night. Lots of fun.

June 25, 2008

Today was kinda hard, Jason and I stayed up to late last night watching an old classic called "The Teacher's Pet" with Doris Day and Clark Gable. I was so extremely tired this morning when I got to work and it was very hard trying to motivate myself to work. My job is all about speed and acuracy and I am not a fast person when it comes to doing work I don't like, my family will atest to that. All I do everyday is sit at a desk and update customer's auto loan accounts. I work for Wells Fargo Auto Finance. I do name changes, address changes, set up automatic payments, transport letter, payment histories, automatic cancellations, overpayment reimbursments and more really fun stuff. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy my job and I am very thankful for it but when it comes to speed and trying to get my percentage up it is a very slow process. During these summer months not everyone is buying cars with the economy being so bad, so work is slow. I have learned that I am more motivated when I have a stack of work in front of me that is going to fill up my 8 hour day:) I put my headphones on and put on some Bryan Adams music and go to town. It makes the day go by faster. There are days when I feel like I am stuck in a Groundhog's day type of movie though. I does wear on you. I do have a great team and they make it lots of fun to work there. Unfortunatly I am not allowed to take pictures at my job because of all of the security rules and customer privacy issues otherwise I would have a picture with this. My boss is really fun and nice she gave me an extra duty to do these past two weeks that are bosting my daily percentages up like you wouldn't believe. YEAH!!!! FINALLY!!!!!! today I got over a 134% so I was happy by the end of the day. It's alway nice to go home and see my sweetheart. He make it all worth it:)

JASON

Jason loves to play the GUITAR. He recently had his two minute composition played before a live orchestra for one of his finals. It was awsome! I was able to take off work to go and see it:) He does short sound tracks for his brother in law Julio's art animations. He also loves working on projects especially his own compositions.

Amy's Projects

The top two projects are Flower doll sets that I make for my sisters and neices for Christmas presents. What I love most about this blanket is the Tatted edging. This is the first time I have done tatting on one of my projects:) Very exciting I hope to do more in the future.

About Us

I (AMY) am #5 out of ll children. I absolutely love my family and spending time with them. I am married to a wonderful musician named JASON GARTNER who is a the oldest out of five. Jason is a fulltime student at ASU. He is majoring in guitar performance and does compositions on the side. He loves all kinds of music: Classical, Heavy Metal, Jazz, Blues, Flamenco, and much more. We both are Nursary Leaders in our church and love every minute of it. We love our membership in The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints. We love being with children.
I am obsessed with the fiber arts meaning crocheting, tatting, knitting and soon to be felting. I love to stay busy with projects. I recently finished two huge projects of crocheting baby receiveing blankets for Kanon and Emme. I am anxious to start Christmas presents. My favorite time of year is Christmas. I love it so much. I love working all year long making gifts for those few moments of excitement that I get to see in my family member's faces when they receive a special gift that I have made for them. I do this to let my family know how much I love and appreciate all the they do for me. I learn so much from each individual. We are so thankful for all the talents that Heavenly Father has given to each of us.
We love our Savior JESUS CHRIST. He is the CENTER of our LIVES. We know that HE LIVES and LOVES all of his children more than we can possibly understand.
I am so thankful for the scriptures. My favorite so far is the Book of Mormon. I still need to study the other books of canon more then I will feel the same for them also. I have a deep appreciation for Joseph Smith and his family, for everything that they did and went through to bring the Book of Mormon to us today. My Favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon are 3 Nephi 11-17 when the Savior appears the Nephites and the people love to be with him all the time, he blesses the sick and the sweet little children. They are so sad to see him leave. One of my favorite verses in the Book of Mormon is 2 Nephi 31:20 "Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life. I love this scripture because it tells you everything you need to do in order to return back home to live with Heavenly Father and the Savior again. I don't know of anything more important in this life than that. I am so indebted the them both for giving me such an wonderful life and a loving family who I get to be with for eternity. Words can not describe the gratitude that I feel for my Savior and the great Atonement that he made for all of us so that we might be forgiven of our sins and have some hope of returning back to him. I am very humbled by this.

Temple Square Flowers

I served a mission on Temple Square from October 1999 - March 2001 during this time they had gorgious flowers all over the square that I absolutely loved.
